ASN 2026 | HighTide Therapeutics toPresent New HTD1801 Data Highlighting Therapeutic Potential in Chronic Kidney Disease

ROCKVILLE, MD and SHENZHEN, CHINA, October 16, 2026 – HighTide Therapeutics, Inc. (2511.HK), an innovative biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of multifunctional, multi-targeted therapies for cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) diseases, today announced that it will present new preclinical findings for HTD1801 in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM MDT on October 22, 2026, at Kidney Week 2026, the 59th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), being held in Denver, US.

ADPKD is the most common inherited kidney disorder, characterized by progressive cyst formation. HTD1801 targets the AMPK–NLRP3 axis by activating AMPK, suppressing cAMP-driven epithelial cyst proliferation while inhibiting NLRP3 to mitigate renal inflammation and fibrotic remodeling, thereby potentially targeting key pathological processes in ADPKD. This study explores the therapeutic potential of HTD1801 in ADPKD, demonstrating its ability to suppress cyst expansion in PKD1-mutant human nephron organoids.

Presentation Title: HTD1801 Suppresses Cyst Expansion in PKD1-Mutant Nephron Organoids: Evidence for AMPK-NLRP3 Axis Efficacy in ADPKD

Date and Time: October 22, 2026, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM MDT

Format: Poster Presentation

Session: ADPKD and Cystic Kidney Disease – 1 [PO1201-1]

Presenter: Dr. Filip Surmont, Chief Medical Officer of HighTide Therapeutics

About HTD1801

HTD1801 is a first-in-class new molecular entity that targets the residual risks underlying cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) diseases. It is an orally delivered, anti-inflammatory metabolic modulator (AIMM) that, as a single molecule, exerts its biological activity through the AMPK–NLRP3 axis, two complementary pathways that mitigate metabolic dysfunction. Multiple global clinical studies have demonstrated the comprehensive benefits of HTD1801, including improved insulin sensitivity, glycemic control, lipid lowering, renal protection, weight reduction, hepatic improvement, and anti-inflammatory effects. Collectively, these findings support the potential of HTD1801 to serve as a foundational therapy in CKM disease management.
